Two teenagers arrested in England in connection with a hostage situation at a Texas synagogue over the weekend have now been released, according to police.

Police also said an address in north Manchester had been searched as part of the investigation.

“CTP North West is continuing to assist with the investigation which is being led by US authorities,” Assistant Chief Constable Dominic Scally said.
Police previously said the two were arrested on Sunday “as part of the ongoing investigation into the attack.”
Details on how the two might have been connected to the hostage-taker, believed by officials to be Malik Faisal Akram, a 44-year-old British citizen, were not disclosed.

Police are continuing to investigate the hostage situation that took place on Saturday, when Akram allegedly held four people hostage inside a synagogue in Colleyville, Texas. After an 11-hour standoff, law enforcement reported that all hostages were unharmed and safe and the subject was confirmed to be dead.
