Showdown votes: Democrats not in sync

It is seldom that two senators, neither in the Senate leadership, wield as much power at this point in time as West Virginia’s Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona. It is a simple yea or nay vote cast by Manchin and Sinema upon which a $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, and the transformation of the U.S. economy into a European-style social democracy, depends.
