RNC resolutions proposed to keep committee neutral and limit Trump’s access to funds: Report

Two resolutions reportedly being proposed by Republican National Committeeman Henry Barbour would prevent funds from being used for former President Donald Trump‘s legal fees, along with keeping the RNC neutral throughout the primary.

The pair of resolutions come ahead of the RNC’s meeting next month, where a new slate of Trump-backed candidates is expected to be elected to lead the committee. One of the two resolutions, both obtained by the Dispatch, would recommit the RNC to neutrality until a candidate has amassed the necessary 1,215 required delegates and would prevent current campaign staff from joining RNC leadership until a candidate has reached the threshold.
