Eric Adams’s aide got a visit from FBI — the third federal investigation linked to NYC mayor

New York City Mayor Eric Adams‘s legal woes continued after his top aide had her house raided by the FBI.

The FBI carried out a “court-authorized law enforcement activity” at the Bronx residence of Winnie Greco, Adams’s director of Asian affairs, the New York Daily News reported. She is currently under investigation by the city over allegations of corruption, and it was not revealed whether the FBI raid was related.

FBI agents were blocking several intersections in the Bronx neighborhood, Bronx News 12 reported. Several government trucks were spotted in the area.

“Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines,” a City Hall spokesperson told the outlet. “As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway. The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing.”

Greco was placed on leave by the mayor as the investigation into allegations of corruption continued.

The raid is only the latest of several major legal troubles that have plagued the mayor. Adams is currently undergoing a federal inquiry into his ties to Turkey, an investigation that has involved the seizure of his devices. Two of his allies, a staffer and a top donor, both had their residences raided by the FBI.
