Madonna and Alex Rodriguez had a cloak-and-dagger rendezvous — traveling via separate helicopters, says the New York Post. The paper claims the high-profile pair enjoyed an idyll at Jerry Seinfeld’s waterfront spread in the Hamptons.
“The Seinfelds have been friends with Madonna for years,” a source explains. “They’re neighbors on [NYC’s] West Side, so it’s really no surprise.”
On Oct. 21, according to the Post, A-Rod’s copter landed in the East End, and the baseball star was shuttled from the airport to the mansion in a Porsche resembling Jessica Seinfeld’s. Not 40 minutes later, another helicopter, allegedly, brought Madonna to the tony area.
“A dark SUV and Jerry in another Porsche both pulled up and picked up Madonna and they headed back to Jerry’s place,” a snoop says. “When they arrived at the Seinfeld home, Madonna poked her head out the window and could be clearly seen.”
“About four hours later, the dark SUV left the house and took them all back to the airport,” the eagle-eyed eyewitness reportedly relayed. “Madonna and the Seinfelds could clearly be seen getting out and piling into the copter that had taken Madonna there in the first place. They left together. Several minutes later, the helicopter that carried A-Rod also left.”
Reps for the celebs, unsurprisingly, had nothing to say on the matter. But if Madge and A-Rod really are carrying on a secret affair, let’s hope it comes to light soon. Sneaking around in SUVs — and separate helicopters! — is so totally not eco-conscious.
Mariah and Nick: Off key?
Is Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s romance hitting a sour note? The pop diva wasn’t feeling the tunes her new hubby spun while DJing a recent NYC gala, OK! reports.
While Nick worked the turntables, says the tabloid, Mimi “glumly” toyed with her cell phone. After enduring 10 minutes of his musical stylings, the pop diva left to powwow with hostess Donatella Versace.
“Mariah clearly wasn’t into Nick’s music at all,” a reveler snarks. “It looked like she wanted to tell him to turn down that awful racket!”
And here we thought they were soulmates.
Holly’s honey
Now that she’s officially split from Hugh Hefner, Holly Madison is spending even more time with Criss Angel in Las Vegas. And it’s increasingly obvious that she and the illusionist are a couple. At the Friday night debut of his Cirque du Soleil show in Sin City, Holly was by Criss’ side, and the two posed for photos kissing.
People reports that Criss gushed about the “Girls Next Door” star: “This is one of the most special evenings for me in my life and I cannot think of a more beautiful person, a more special person, inside and out, than Holly to spend it with.”
Nice sentiment, but we can’t help but wonder whether notorious player Criss is the best guy for Holly. She may have actually found the one guy who’s less likely to settle down and marry her than Hef was.
