Michael Bloomberg’s town hall on Fox News earlier this week was the second-most watched one of this election cycle.
The 78-year-old former New York City mayor participated in a town hall on Monday night, which had an audience of 2,412,000 viewers, and 426,000 in the key 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The town hall, which was moderated by Special Report’s Bret Baier and The Story’s Martha MacCallum, took place a day before Bloomberg appeared on the ballot for the first time. The former mayor’s town hall was a day before Super Tuesday, when 14 states cast their ballots for the Democratic primary. The only other 2020 election town hall that had a larger audience was in April 2019 with Sen. Bernie Sanders, which raked in nearly 2.6 million viewers.
Baier and MacCallum, both of whom hosted a town hall with Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar last week, will host President Trump’s first town hall of his reelection campaign later this week.
