Former President Donald Trump took jabs at President Joe Biden while ignoring his Republican primary opponent, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, on Tuesday night.
In a speech at Mar-a-Lago on Super Tuesday, Trump tread similar ground in his boasting of his past record and condemnations of Biden. Notable was the glaring absence in his speech, Haley, whom he was in the midst of soundly defeating in nearly all Super Tuesday contests. The move may be indicative of a shift in the campaign from the primary to the general election against Biden.
The major new development Trump targeted Biden over was news of 320,000 “inadmissible” immigrants that were secretly flown into the United States by the Biden administration.
“Today it was announced that 325,000 people were flown in from parts unknown, migrants were flown in … not going through borders, not going through that great Texas barrier. … But today, it was just announced before I came out,” Trump said. “It was unbelievable. I said, ‘That must be a mistake.’ They flew 325,000 migrants, flew them in, over the borders, into our country. So that really tells you where they’re coming from. They want open borders, and open borders are going to destroy our country.”

The former president went on to hit Biden over his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, relations with China, and much more. He only briefly touched upon his resounding victory in the Tuesday primaries.
Haley scored one small victory on Super Tuesday — the state of Vermont, marking her first state primary victory. Trump has won every other state and is now fast approaching the number of delegates required to obtain the Republican nomination.
