The View co-host Sunny Hostin wore all black on Wednesday to mourn the results of the Super Tuesday primaries in which former President Donald Trump trounced GOP challenger Nikki Haley in the Republican presidential primary, leading to her withdrawal from the 2024 election.
“I’m wearing my funeral chic today because I’m so devastated over what we saw yesterday,” The View host said, referring to Republicans voting for Trump over Haley.
Hostin then shared her analysis of Republican voters supporting Trump in the primaries.
“Backstage, we were talking about the fact that six in 10 North Carolina primary voters say they considered Trump fit for the presidency, even if he’s convicted of a crime,” she said. “Roughly six in 10 North Carolina GOP primary voters denied that Biden’s 2020 election win was legitimate.”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin slammed Republican leadership as dishonest and attacked the character of Trump, her former boss.

“Most elected Republicans have just bought into the big lie, and if they’re amplifying it, if their leaders in office are saying the election was stolen, I’m not going to blame voters for believing the people in power,” she said.
She added, “Donald Trump is a uniquely unfit, unprincipled man.”
