Former University of Kentucky swimmer and host of Outkick’s podcast Gaines for Girls Riley Gaines joined Joe Rogan in mourning the loss of speech that is truly free, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Gaines appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience in an episode released Thursday. There she retold the story of her rise to fame after tying for fifth place with transgender swimmer Lia Thomas at a national swimming championship. She claimed there were restrictions on the athletes as to what could and couldn’t be said about Thomas as a transgender athlete.
