Second man arrested in Middle River homicide

Baltimore County police have arrested and charged a second man in connection with a 2005 Middle River homicide.

Aaron Joseph Hall Jr., 22, of Middle River is accused of first-degree murder in the killing of Charles Clark II, 20. Another suspect in the case, Jerrell Jones, 20, is already in custody. He was arrested and charged in June while in jail on an unrelated charge. Police were called to the intersection of Chilworth and Endsleigh Avenues on Sept. 4, 2005, by someone reporting that several shots had been fired.

When officers arrived, they found Clark suffering from a single gunshot would. He was flown to Shock Trauma, where he later died.During the investigation, witnesses provided police with information linking Jones and Hall to the shooting, officers said. The witnesses reported that Clark had been standing with a group of people near the intersection, when Hall and Jones got out of a car and ran toward them, each firing a handgun in the group?s direction. The shooting apparently resulted from a dispute involving the men earlier that week, according to police. Based on this information, police obtained an arrest warrant for Aaron Hall and cuffed him at his home early Tuesday morning.

He has been denied bail and is awaiting trial at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
