WATCH: Eagle Scout suspended for 10 days after attending school maskless

An Eagle Scout and Loudoun County high school student was suspended from school for 10 days after he and other students attended class without wearing masks.

Jarod Missler and 15 other students of Woodgrove High School received the suspension after they showed up for classes without any face coverings.

Missler, a senior at Woodgrove, was escorted by school officials and said the district’s superintendent could extend his punishment.

His father, Fairfax County Police Sgt. Andrew Missler, went with his son for the first day of his suspension to give school officials his opinion on the matter, he told Fox News.

“I had a nice, long talk with his principal regarding the suspension and his actions,” he said. “I thought it was disgraceful.”

The elder Missler said his conversation with Dr. William Shipp, the school’s principal, was “as civil as civil could be.”

He spoke out against Jarod Missler’s suspension and noted the school did not suspend a student charged with sexual assault misconduct, the sergeant said.

“They didn’t suspend him,” he said. “They just moved him from one school to another school.”

That student was transferred to a different school, according to a report.

“We should follow the executive order of Youngkin,” Jarod Missler said while leaving a message for Shipp. “And we should allow people to make their own decisions about these things.”
