Newark-Liberty airport police on Thursday received an unspecified bomb threat to a British Airways flight en route from London’s Heathrow Airport.

British Airways flight 185 arrived safely at 1 p.m. and was immediately surrounded by port authority police.

Someone used a pay phone at Newark to call in the threat, according to Fox News. The person making the threat claimed to have ties with the Islamic State.

The Boeing 777-200 was carrying 206 passengers and 13 crewmembers.
Ground controllers relocated the aircraft to a remote part of the tarmac. Passengers evacuated and the authorities rescreened the aircraft and associated luggage with bomb-sniffing dogs.
This threat comes a few hours after Los Angeles authorities deemed a bomb threat ‘non-credible’ to American Eagle flight 5931.
