NBC News dropped former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel less than a week after hiring her as a paid contributor.
It was reported earlier on Tuesday that the network was planning on axing McDaniel but had yet to work out the details, and McDaniel was seeking legal counsel, according to Puck News.
