Mark Levin rips ‘Democrat Party media’ for Roger Stone case uproar

Conservative radio host Mark Levin slammed critics of the Justice Department’s decision to reduce the sentencing recommendation against Roger Stone.

“Let’s stop getting all worked up because the president puts out a tweet and the grotesque, radical, progressive, social activism, Democrat Party media don’t like it — screw them,” the vocal Trump defender told his listeners on Wednesday. “Who cares what they like or don’t like?”

A memo was filed by prosecutors on Monday recommending Stone be sentenced to between seven and nine years in prison after being convicted of lying to Congress and witness tampering. The next day, the Justice Department, after President Trump tweeted his dismay with the steep sentence, changed course and overruled the prosecutors by changing the recommendation to up to four years of prison time.

With Attorney General William Barr reportedly being instrumental in the reversal, Democrats, including 2020 presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, have voiced outrage and demanded Barr resign or else have Trump another round of impeachment.

“What Barr has done should mean that we are demanding a resignation. And if that guy won’t resign, then the House should start impeachment proceedings against him,” Warren, a senator from Massachusetts, told CNN.

Four federal prosecutors assigned to the Stone case resigned after their sentencing recommendation was overruled.

“I don’t even like Roger Stone — given my own dealings with this guy — but this is an outrage,” Levin said.

“It’s way over the top. And as we learn more, we learn more about why this was done: We have the Left, the Left that has devoured one aspect of our society after another, including law enforcement, now: federal prosecution,” he added.
