More Americans will stay home for yet another holiday weekend, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic, which predicts a 0.9 percent decrease in Labor Day travel. More than 34.3 million Americans are expected to travel more than 50 miles away from home, 320,000 fewer than last year. The last Labor Day travel decrease came in 2006. Nearly 4 million travels will fly, down 4.5 percent from last year. AAA also reported slight decreases in travel during the Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends.
