Two comedians created a miniature “Confederate statue” of Rep. Steve King and placed it in front of the Iowa State Capitol building.
“We put up a confederate statue honoring confederate sympathizer Steve King. Hopefully he will honor his heritage and not take it down,” the comedy duo, The Good Liars, said Thursday on Twitter.

“This site is dedicated to Confederate sympathizer and White Nationalist, Steve King,” said a plaque. “Here, King is honored with the world’s smallest Confederate statue. A tiny statue for a tiny man.”
Over the years, the Republican congressman drew criticism for displaying a Confederate flag on his office table, saying anti-immigrant statements, and making a reported defense of white nationalism (which he disputed), among other things.
The Good Liars have a history of making fun of conservatives. Last fall, the group replaced covers of Donald Trump Jr.’s book with a cover that said, “Daddy, please love me.”
