Arlington County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman is keeping his promise to listen to the county’s small businesses.
In a letter sent out last week, Zimmerman invited business owners to a “listening session” on March 31 at the Clarendon Ballroom. The event is billed as an open forum for the small-business community to air their grievances, of which there were many in the past year. ARLnow.com has the rundown, topped off by a lawsuit filed against the county over a giant dog park mural.
Zimmerman promised to better serve the business community in his first speech as chairman at the county’s traditional New Year’s Day board meeting. Arlington recently created a new Business Center page on the county’s website.
