President Joe Biden will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 19 recipients, including former Vice President Al Gore, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), actress Michelle Yeoh, and athlete Jim Thorpe, among others.
The presentation is expected to start at 4:30 p.m. in the White House.

Biden previously awarded the medal in 2022 to several people, including John McCain (R-AZ), Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and actor Denzel Washington.
