LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police are searching for a shotgun that fell off an officer’s motorcycle.
Officials say the gun’s locking mechanism broke and the gun fell off Thursday near South Vermont Avenue and West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Several blocks of the South LA neighborhood were briefly shut down as officers searched for the shotgun.
It is unclear if the gun was loaded.
Police say as of Friday morning the gun has not been located.
