World’s oldest New England Patriots fan dies at 106

A Maine woman considered to be the New England Patriots‘ oldest fan has died at 106.

Myrtle Milledge was recently recognized by the Patriots with a personalized jersey with the number 106 for her age and a signed letter from team owner Robert Kraft to honor her December birthday.

“Myrtle was a wonderful role model to her family and always put them first. She was a perfect example of how to age gracefully. She was an amazing people person, unselfish and thoughtful with a generous interest in others,” her obituary wrote.

She died on Feb. 15 at the Hospice House in Auburn and was predeceased by her husband Frederick Milledge Sr.

Milledge was a fan of the team back when they were known as the Boston Patriots under the American Football League. In 2019, she also served as the grand marshal in the Patriots’ Super Bowl parade, CBS reported.
