Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s (R-GA) comments about her fake eyelashes during a committee hearing on Thursday were racially motivated.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing on Thursday evening that quickly devolved into name-calling when Greene told Crockett that “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up your reading” while marking up a resolution to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt. Later in the chaotic hearing, Crockett alluded to Greene having a “bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body.”
