Eight people were injured during a mass shooting in New Orleans on Sunday, including a woman who was shot in the face.
The woman is in critical condition at a local hospital, while the other victims are in stable condition or had received graze wounds, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
“All victims transported to local hospitals, one of which via EMS. That victim, identified as a female, is currently listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the face,” the department said in a tweet.
Police told the Washington Examiner they were investigating aggravated battery that resulted in the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing. Details on a suspect or motive have yet to be released.
