Who: Actor Morgan Freeman What: Freeman said that the Tea Party “made [racism] worse,” based on a statement by Sen Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., often repeated in President Obama’s speeches, saying his goal was to make Obama a one-term president. The Tea Party is “going to do whatever [they] can to get this black man outta here . . . it is a racist thing,” Freeman said.
Why It’s Dim: If he has to peddle this stupid, divisive rhetoric, Freeman could at least get McConnell’s name right (he called him “O’Connell.”)
