President Trump took another shot at the conservative House Freedom Caucus days after the Republicans’ healthcare bill failed.
“The Republican House Freedom Caucus was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. After so many bad years they were ready for a win!” Trump tweeted Monday night.

It’s Trump’s second tweet in as many days blaming the group for the failure of the American Health Care Act, which was pulled by House leadership Friday because of insufficient support.
“Democrats are smiling in D.C. that the Freedom Caucus, with the help of Club For Growth and Heritage, have saved Planned Parenthood & Ocare!” Trump wrote Sunday morning.
In a subsequent tweet Monday night, the president was confident Democrats would “make a deal” with him on the healthcare once Obamacare “folds.”
“Do not worry, we are in very good shape!” he added.
The Democrats will make a deal with me on healthcare as soon as ObamaCare folds – not long. Do not worry, we are in very good shape!

The Freedom Caucus played a key role in sinking the legislation, saying it didn’t go far enough to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.
Several top administration officials, including the president, gathered in last-minute meetings with the conservative lawmakers to try to garner support for the bill.
The group’s leader, Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said in a statement Friday that he had promised his constituents “a full repeal” of Obamacare.
