URI professor to hold girls chemistry camp

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) — A University of Rhode Island chemist has gotten a grant to put on a weeklong chemistry camp for middle-school girls.

URI Assistant Professor Mindy Levine wants to cultivate interest in science among the 40 girls who attend the weeklong camp. She’ll do that with hands-on experiments, female scientist speakers and a field trip to the Museum of Science in Boston.
