President Obama spent some time Sunday afternoon with a 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who said he was kicked out of a Donald Trump rally on Saturday by security.
During their conversation with Obama, the boy and his mother said they showed up at the Trump rally Saturday in Tampa, Fla. to protest Trump’s mocking of a reporter with disabilities.
The boy, J.J. Holmes, has a severe case of cerebral palsy and only speaks through a computer vocalization device. His mother, Alison Holmes, told Obama that the two were “put out” by security at a Trump rally in Tampa, Fla.
“The crowd started chanting ‘U-S-A’ and pushing his wheelchair,” his mother said.
“We were put out by security,” she said. “Mr. Trump kept saying, “Get them out.'”

As his mother spoke to Obama, J.J. said through his vocalization device, “I hate Donald Trump. I hate Donald Trump.”
A White House photographer was on hand to snap photos of Obama shaking hands with J.J. and standing behind the boy’s electric wheelchair.
