Biden talking points stress he doesn’t ‘hold grudges’ against Kamala Harris amid running mate speculation

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has no hard feelings toward Sen. Kamala Harris as he narrows down his running mate pick before November’s election.

Biden was photographed holding notes with a list of characteristics describing Harris while campaigning in Delaware on Tuesday.

Under the California Democrat’s name, Biden wrote “campaigned with me & Jill,” “talented,” “great help to campaign,” and “great respect for her,” in addition to “do not hold grudges.”

The notes of Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden reference Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., among other things as he speaks at a campaign event at the William “Hicks” Anderson Community Center in Wilmington, Del., Tuesday.

The lack of grudges mentioned appears to be a reference to the times the two clashed during early Democratic debates when they were both vying for a presidential bid. In one instance, Harris brought up a personal point about being affected by busing when schools were working to better racially integrate districts in the 1970s. She pointed to Biden’s opposition to the practice.

The former vice president has shared personal ties with Harris, particularly through his late son Beau Biden. Harris became close friends with the younger Biden when they were both attorneys general representing California and Delaware, respectively.
