Matt Katula?s heart is always in the right place, thanks to the Katula Foundation ? a nonprofit, which, according to its Web site, is devoted to “the growth and development of community sports programs.” Recently, Katula, of the Ravens, and his wife Allison held a private premier for more than 150 kids to see Walt Disney?s “Enchanted” at the Regal Hunt Valley Mall Stadium 12. Guests Patty Pitts and her son Mason had an especially “enchanting” time by being the winners of an autographed Katula jersey. Ravens teammates Matt Stover and Todd Heap added to the festivities. Never heard of Matt? He?s the team?s long snapper, and he likes to joke: “The only way you should know who I am is if I mess up.”
SWEET!!
Mount St. Mary?s University celebrated its bicentennial with a custom-made cake by the bad boy of baking, Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes. Duff personally delivered his creation, which was a replica of the Mount?s famous 200-year-old cupola, to celebrants at the Baltimore Marriott at Camden Yards. And the cameras were rolling for Goldman?s Food Network reality show, Ace of Cakes. The Mount cake took 30 hours to make.
SPOTTED
It was a who?s who recently at Ray Lewis? Full Moon Bar-B-Que in Canton. No. 52 threw a congrats party for his personal trainer, Monte Sanders, who has released a new fitness DVD. Many of Sanders? Optimum Fitness clients came to show off their toned muscles including the foxy Patrice Harris of Fox-TV, the Ravens? Ed Reed and Mark Clayton, and Troy Johnson of WHFS.
