MILWAUKEE — Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) was greeted with applause, handshakes, and back slaps as he was introduced at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee as the party’s vice presidential nominee for the first time.
Vance received a warm welcome after Trump announced him as his vice presidential nominee on his Truth Social media platform on Monday afternoon. The crowd earlier briefly chanted “J.D.! J.D!” as they waited for a technical issue that delayed proceedings to be resolved.
