Gas prices slightly decreased on Sunday, with the average price of a gallon of regular gas falling to $3.506, according to AAA. This was a slight decrease from Saturday’s average cost of $3.511 per gallon. It’s also cheaper than the end of last week, when the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.521.
The price of gas remains a vital topic heading into the 2024 presidential election. With President Joe Biden deciding not to seek reelection, Vice President Kamala Harris, now the likely Democratic nominee, will have to indicate how she would address the country’s high gas prices and energy costs and how both affect the economy and people’s finances.
