If you thought the rail cars without air conditioning were bad … An adult and four kids got stuck on a Metro elevator Monday for 40 minutes at the Cleveland Park station.

The elevator became stuck about 12:35 p.m. and D.C. Fire & EMS crews had to rescue them, said Metro spokeswoman Taryn McNeil. They were freed at 1:05 p.m. and had no reported injuries, she said.
