Springfield, Ohio, closed its City Hall on Thursday after a bomb threat was sent to multiple agencies earlier in the day, city officials said.

The city has recently been the center of unfounded claims about Haitian migrants stealing and eating the pets of residents. Officials in Springfield announced the closure Thursday morning, saying they received the bomb threat via email at 8:24 a.m., and it was sent to “multiple agencies and media outlets.”
