The Virginia Commonwealth University men’s basketball team may have come up short of the ultimate prize in its Cinderella run to the Final Four this year, but the Rams will be headed to the Executive Mansion in Richmond for a reception Wednesday evening.
Gov. Bob McDonnell will hold the reception to celebrate the team’s historic Final Four run. The Rams became just the third No. 11 seed to reach the Final Four, but were upended by Butler in the national semifinals.
