Fox News host Neil Cavuto says he has not made one request to the White House to interview President Trump because he’s “not interested.”
“I have not asked for a sit-down with the president. I don’t want a sit-down with the president. I know that sounds crazy. That’s not because I dislike the president,” Cavuto explained Tuesday, noting that he has talked with Trump many times over the years.

Cavuto said he doesn’t see what would be gained by interviewing the president for just 10 minutes and that such an interview would not add value.
“I’ve learned something from every chat. I’m just not interested in joining the chat. … I can just as effectively [cover the president] without interviewing the president,” he said.
Cavuto then played a montage of himself criticizing Trump during past shows, saying Trump may not even grant him an interview based on his past coverage.
“Not the way to win friends at the White House, but the only way I know to cover the White House,” Cavuto ended. “Even if it means never getting an interview with this president. Even if it means never even asking for one in the first place.”
