NYC Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright resigns as Eric Adams indictment fallout continues

Another high-level official in New York Mayor Eric Adams’s administration resigned on Tuesday as a federal investigation into the mayor and his staff grows.

Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, wife of ex-New York City Public Schools Chancellor David Banks, who also resigned amid the investigation, did not disclose the reason for her resignation. However, last month, federal officials searched her house and confiscated her electronics.
