Florida authorities are hunting for a driver who was seen on video speeding over a drawbridge and jumping the gap as it opened.
Footage showed a gray SUV on Monday plowing through a closed traffic arm, shattering the windshield, and accelerating over the structure. At one point, the vehicle was airborne before the driver continued down the bridge unhindered.

The incident, which has been widely shared on social media, happened at about 7:45 a.m., and the vehicle operator plowed through a second traffic arm on the way off the bridge, a spokesperson for the Daytona Beach Police Department told the Washington Examiner. Law enforcement said it believes it has a positive identification of the suspect, but the person has not been apprehended.

This is at least the second time a motorist has chosen to forgo waiting for the bridge. On March 5, video circulated of a motorcycle hopping over the gap in the same city.
