Display for Ivanka Trump brand covered up during her father’s stay at Trump Tower

A display for Ivanka Trump’s brand in the Trump Tower lobby has been covered up during her father’s stay at his Manhattan home.

A curtain placed over the advertisement was shared on Twitter by the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman on Tuesday.

Signage in Trump Tower revealed last week that Ivanka Trump, who is the daughter and adviser to President Trump, will have a store opening up at the Fifth Avenue skyscraper. She has stepped away from day-to-day management of her businesses and has had her assets transferred to a trust, but remains invested, according to a report from Fortune.

The lingering ties to her brand, which includes apparel and jewelry, while serving in the White House has attracted criticism and concerns of possible conflicts of interest, similar to what her father faces.

President Trump is visiting Trump Tower this week for the first time since the inauguration. He is currently on a 17-day working vacation, during which he has spent much time at his New Jersey golf resort in Bedminster.
