A Springfield loan officer pleaded guilty Friday in a mortgage fraud scheme that prosecutors said allowed fake buyers and unqualified buyers to obtain more than $4 million in loans.
Alejandro Alquinta, 35, was the loan officer in at least 14 fraudulent transactions while he worked at SunTrust Mortgage in Falls Church, according to prosecutors.
