Former President Donald Trump bragged about how he hit a hole-in-one over the weekend in a tongue-in-cheek statement reminiscent of his old tweeting days.
Ever the entertainer, Trump feigned modesty, saying he doesn’t like people who boast, as he insisted reports were “100% true” that he accomplished the athletic feat during a golf competition at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, ahead of his rally in Georgia on Saturday evening.
“While playing with the legendary golfer, Ernie Els, winner of four Majors and approximately 72 other tournaments throughout the world, Gene Sauers, winner of the Senior U.S. Open, Ken Duke, and Mike Goodes, both excellent tour players, I made a hole-in-one,” Trump declared in his statement.

Trump said he accomplished the feat on the “7th hole, which was playing 181-yards into a slight wind,” adding that he ended up hitting a “5-iron, which sailed magnificently into a rather strong wind.” The ball then “bounced twice and then went clank, into the hole,” Trump claimed.

“These great tour players noticed it before I did because their eyes are slightly better, but on that one hole only, their swings weren’t,” Trump said. “Anyway, there’s a lot of chatter about it, quite exciting, and people everywhere seem to be asking for the facts. Playing with that group of wonderful, talented players was a lot of fun.”
Trump finished his statement by quipping that he is “a very modest individual” and would not divulge who won the match because then people might say he was bragging. “I don’t like people who brag!” Trump wisecracked.
