Movie stars: Get out and vote, but not for Trump

Avengers” Director Joss Whedon returned to Twitter Tuesday after a long hiatus with a video featuring scores of famous people imploring everyone to vote for anyone not named Donald Trump on Nov. 8.

The video, titled “Save the Day,” featured a lot of well-known actors, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, James Franco, Miles Tellers, Nathan Fillion and Don Cheadle.

Whedon also sprinkled in a few regular people in between the stars to “drive the message home because of their unpolished sincerity,” one of the commoners quipped.

The point of the video, as Cheadle put it was, was to stop “a racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society” from entering the White House.

“This isn’t just an election; it’s a tipping point,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” star Clark Gregg said.

The video ended with the promise that if everyone goes out and votes this year, Ruffalo would do a nude scene in his next movie, a prospect he didn’t seem particularly excited about.

“Make Mark be naked …,” “How I Met Your Mother” star Cobie Smulders began.

“… By making your mark on Nov. 8,” “Easy A” star Stanley Tucci finished.
