Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine has joined the White House as a press assistant, according to a report.
Sunshine was featured in Disney Channel sitcom “Shake It Up” from 2010 until 2013, alongside the show’s breakout stars Zendaya and Bella Thorne.
The California native was also cast in 2010 family film “Marmaduke.”
Sunshine was previously an intern for the Trump administration, applying to the position through a job portal on the White House’s website, according to CNN.
“In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school’s Model United Nations team,” White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told CNN in a statement.
In addition, Sunshine “interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party,” Walters added.
Sunshine is the latest Trump administration recruit to have experience in television.
Omarosa Manigault-Newman was a contestant on NBC’s “The Apprentice” before she became part of the Trump campaign. She was hired and later fired as communications director of the White House’s Office of Public Liaison.
CNBC host Larry Kudlow was picked to lead the National Economic Council after Gary Cohn’s departure this month.
John Bolton, a Fox News commentator and former U.N. ambassador, will take over as national security adviser from H.R. McMaster in April.
