President Trump signed a notice of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership Monday, kicking off the highly-anticipated process of withdrawing the U.S. from a trade deal that has become deeply unpopular among his supporters.

Sitting in the Oval Office and flanked by members of his senior staff, Trump also signed an order that imposes a federal hiring freeze on all departments “except for the military” and an order cutting off funding to international groups that perform abortions, a rule known as the “Mexico City policy.”
