MoCo offers emergency-response training class

Montgomery County is offering a free class for county residents to learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters. The course, run by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue, covers CPR, first aid, fire safety, pet preparedness, disaster kits, terrorism awareness and other topics. It’s taught by emergency medical technicians and firefighters.

Registration is now open for the spring 2012 session, which runs from March 14 to April 28. Classes will be held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Applications can be downloaded at montgomerycert.org/class_application.doc and email it to [email protected].
