Meghan McCain jumps to Melania Trump’s defense after Joy Behar’s Stormy Daniels joke

The View” co-host Meghan McCain clashed with colleague Joy Behar Thursday after Behar sarcastically wished first lady Melania Trump happy birthday amid ongoing media coverage of President Trump’s alleged relationship with porn star Stormy Daniels.

“He is a jerk but I think to point out, ‘Happy birthday, Melania. Your life totally blows. We’re going to talk about it on national television.’ She’s aware of how bad this is,” McCain said on the ABC daytime talk show, calling Behar’s comments as “mean.”

Behar had implied Melania Trump must be enjoying her birthday in light of reports President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 to not go public with claims of her sexual encounter with the president.

“You know, today is Melania Trump’s birthday. Happy birthday, Melania,” Behar said with an eye roll directed at President Trump.

McCain lashed out at Behar for the remark, arguing Behar was making fun of the first lady’s pain.

“You have no sense of humor, that’s your problem,” Behar, a Democrat, responded.

“Oh, please. It’s not that I don’t have a sense of humor. It’s because I feel bad for our first lady,” McCain, a conservative, fired back.

Melania Trump turned 48 on Thursday.
