Social Security update: January direct payment worth $943 goes out in 17 days

In 17 days, January’s Supplemental Security Income check, worth up to $943 for individual filers, will be sent to eligible recipients.

The Social Security Administration will issue SSI payments to eligible citizens on Dec. 31.
