MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman is “impaired” after his shaky debate performance Tuesday.
Scarborough made the assessment while analyzing the Senate debate between Fetterman and Mehmet Oz on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Wednesday.

“It’s very obvious that he is impaired. His ability to communicate is impaired. And the question is, you know, Pennsylvania voters have a couple of choices,” Scarborough said.
The MSNBC host also pushed back on criticisms of NBC News reporter Dasha Burns when she said Fetterman had difficulty with small talk.
“I remember Dasha Burns getting in trouble a couple weeks ago with people on the Left, even some mainstream voices, saying that he had trouble with small talk. Well, it was very obvious last night,” Scarborough said.
Fetterman struggled in his debate against Oz with several gaffes and awkward pauses as he navigated the showdown with closed captioning. Fetterman’s campaign said the closed captioning was “filled with errors,” but Nexstar Media Group, which staged the debate, pushed back, saying the closed captioning system “functioned as expected.”
