GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s helping in finding a large amount of cash that was lost when a man put a bag containing the money on top of his vehicle and drove off.
Troopers say the man, a convenience store employee, was on his way to make a bank deposit about 5:45 a.m. Thursday in Glen Burnie. He told police he put the bank bag on top of his SUV and forgot to take it down before pulling off.
The bag — light red and marked “7-11” — was lost along northbound Interstate 97 and Route 100.
Anyone with information or who may have recovered some of the cash should contact the state police Glen Burnie barracks.
