President Trump indicated Wednesday he was surprised by NBC’s decision to fire “Today Show” host Matt Lauer, but said NBC should also go after other news executives for the fake news the network puts out.
“Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for ‘inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.’ But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

“So now [that] Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!” Trump added an hour later.
NBC news chief Andrew Lack emailed employees early Wednesday morning about Lauer’s termination.
At least one co-worker of Lauer’s made detailed allegations against Lauer, “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie said Wednesday morning on the show. However, the network has reason to believe his alleged treatment of this coworker was not an isolated incident.
