NCAA president comments on Trump’s ‘clear, national standard’ about transgender athletes

NCAA President Charlie Baker commented on President Donald Trump’s executive order to keep transgender women out of women’s sports on Wednesday night. He announced that the NCAA would review the directive and take the necessary steps to ensure all colleges and universities comply.

Trump issued the “No Men in Women’s Sports” executive order on Wednesday, which prohibited athletes who were born male but wished to identify as women later in life from competing against females in athletic competitions. The move comes a little over two weeks after the president’s executive order requiring the federal government to recognize males and females as the only two sexes.
