South Korean president: Trump has accepted offer to visit country

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Friday that President Trump has accepted his offer to visit South Korea later this year.

“I also invited president trump to visit Korea this year and he graciously accepted my offer,” Moon said during remarks in the Rose Garden. He spent Friday at the White House meeting with Trump. On Thursday, he and Trump had dinner.

“Mr. and Mrs. Trump’s visit to Korea will once against demonstrate not only our a friendship but also the intimate bond our peoples have come to foster through thick and thin,” Moon told the president. “Your visit will become yet another milestone in defining our partnership.”
